Where are you located?
Jennifer McKinley Photography is based out of Crestwood, KY and serves all of Jefferson, Oldham, and Shelby Counties. I also serve Southern Indiana (Clark, Floyd, and Washington Counties). I'm available to travel, just ask.
How much do sessions cost?
Simply, check the "Pricing" tab up top for session information and pricing.
When will I receive my images?
The typical turn around on images is no more than 2 weeks after your session.
What rights do we have to our images?
You will have personal rights and a copyright release to your images and may print them wherever you'd like. No photographs may be used for any commercial purposes or advertisements unless approved by Jennifer McKinley Photography. Your images may not be resold. Jennifer McKinley Photography has the right to use your images for advertising.
How soon do I need to schedule my session?
As soon as possible! I offer some weekday sessions but the majority of sessions are held on the weekends, which limits the amount of available dates per month. If you have a specific event or date that you need to have your session by, please be sure to contact me at least a month prior to ensure that we get you schedule in plenty of time. - If you are wanting to schedule a birth event, please let me know WELL in advance. I will usually only book 1-2 birth events per calendar month depending on time-frames, etc.
Where should we have our session?
I always encourage my clients to choose their own location. I love to mix things up, see new places, and you, as the client, know what type of atmosphere you like and the type of images you wish to receive. You can check out local on-location session ideas, here.
What if it rains?
I hope it doesn't :) - Mother Nature is on her own schedule. If it does rain or the weather is not cooperating, we will simply reschedule.
How many images can we expect from our session?
Each session is different, therefore the number of images you receive may vary. I take plenty, however I do not shoot pictures just to shoot them. I will take the time to make the shot a perfect one and then click away. I will, however, only select those images that meet my standard of a high quality image. I will immediately get rid of those that do not meet this standard (blinking, bad focus, awkward poses/positions, incorrect lighting, etc). I promise that you will receive the highest quality images from your session.
Can I meet you face-to-face before our session?
Absolutely! I offer face-to-face consultations by request only. Meaning this doesn't happen every single session, but if you're nervous or have never done an on-location photo shoot before we can meet face-to-face to discuss everything in person. If you're a new client, this also gives us the chance to meet face-to-face, get to know each other, and makes for a less-stressful session day. What equipment do you use?
Jennifer McKinley Photography uses professional Canon equipment: camera bodies, lenses, flashes, etc. I also have plenty of backup equipment for everything including plenty of batteries and memory cards.
