WHAT TO EXPECT

As a client, I want you to be completely prepared with what to expect and how things work when hiring Jennifer McKinley Photography as your photographer. Here is some information on what to expect from the first point of contact all the way up to your session. If there is anything I can clarify or if you have any questions about the following, please feel free to contact me!
Booking Your Session:
There is no deposit required for booking a session with the exception of a $150 to book a birth event. Your deposit will be applied towards the session price. A contract will be sent out to you immediately after you decide to book with me. Your contract will have all of the payment information, due dates, etc. When you receive your contract, you’re asked to read over it, fill out the needed information and mail it to me with your deposit. Deposits can be sent back with your contract for cash and check payments (check – made payable to Jennifer McKinley).

Jennifer McKinley Photography offers all Law Enforcement, Fire-Fighter, EMS, and Military personnel  clients a 15% discount off Session Fees. Please let me know at time of booking if you are eligible to take advantage of this discount.
Consultation:
After you've booked your session we will immediately start brainstorming and dreaming up your perfect session! I want your session to be exactly what you want so therefore you and I will be chatting a lot between now and your scheduled date. If you have a Pinterest account, I encourage my clients to create a board specifically for your session. Start pinning ideas, poses, outfits, etc so I can have a better idea of the types of images and atmosphere you are looking for. You can find and follow me on Pinterest. Don’t have a Pinterest account? Don't worry, we can just discuss and brainstorm via email or phone.
If you would like to meet face-to-face prior to your session to go over details, we can arrange a time to do so. This also gives us the opportunity to get to know each other face-to-face prior to me sticking a camera in yours! If you would like to arrange a face-to-face consultation, just let me know.
During Your Session:
You can expect a fun, laid back, enjoyable atmosphere. This is not going to be your typical pose-smile-repeat session. I know sometimes getting your pictures taken can be nerve racking for some, but I will do everything I can to make the time we spend together relaxing and comfortable. I may, occasionally, ask you to do a specific pose or stand a certain way, but for the most part, some of the best images are those candid shots interacting as if I wasn't present.
The time length of sessions vary depending on what type of session it is. Newborns or families with small children can take a bit longer due to taking breaks, changing, minor meltdowns, etc. Every session is different and can be tweaked in many ways to meet the client’s needs.
There is a limit to three outfit changes for any session. I love mixing things up with different outfits and it also makes for a larger spread of work.
From Your Images:
Every session is different in many ways, therefore every picture will be different. I love all types of images. Bright and colorful, soft and subtle, intimate and black and white. You’re images will reflect who you are as a person or family. All of your images will be edited as needed. I try to steer away from editing an image too much, as it may take away from the true beauty. I will never edit or alter an image that will change anything that makes you, you.
Receiving Your Images:
I may post a  sneak peek on Jennifer McKinley Photography's Facebook Page the day of or the day after your session. You may tag yourself in any photos posted to the Facebook page, however please do not crop, alter, or edit the images with the logo on them in any way
Your images will be delivered to you via PASS, a secure online gallery, no later than one week after your session. You will be able to access, download, and share your images anywhere on your computer, phone, and other smart devices.
